Fort Lauderdale Boat ShowFort Lauderdale is known as the “Yachting Capital of the World.” Because of that, it makes perfect sense that we also have the largest in-water boat show in the world to go along with the title. Over five days, the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show rallies together 110,000 boat and yacht lovers from around the globe to celebrate luxury and the future of boating. Keep reading for a guide to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

About the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

While there are several things to do at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, the main attraction is walking through the six miles of floating docks.  The six miles contains 1,500 boats on display from yacht companies in Fort Lauderdale as well as from around the world. Check out the SuperYacht Village, where the largest yachts in Fort Lauderdale reach up to 300 feet tall.  Afterward, visit your choice of seminars to learn more about the future of the boating and yacht industry, and other ocean-related topics. Kids can even attend a fishing seminar.

The primary location is the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, but other sites include the Hall of Fame Marina, The Sails Marina, Las Olas Marina, SuperYacht Village at Pier South, the Fort Lauderdale Hilton Marina, and Sailfish Pavilion.

Attending the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

Adult tickets to the event cost $34. However, you can upgrade your ticket to become a Windward VIP, where $300 gives you access to a climate-controlled tent overlooking the water, complete with an open bar and food. Exclusive daily events for Windward VIPs include mixology lessons, watchmaking, and cigar rolling demonstrations.

Thanks to the free shuttle, transportation between locations during the show is easy. Or, ride the water taxi, take an Uber or Lyft, or walk from your room at The Link Hotel, only a 15-minute stroll from the Bahia Mar Yachting Center.

The Link Hotel

Return from the luxury of the mega yachts in Fort Lauderdale to an equally luxurious room at The Link. If you didn’t get to check out all 1,500 boats in one visit, refuel at Sunrise Bar & Grille and return to the show ready to go.
